The rosy tetras are related to piranha, but they're not really aggressive. If they get attacked, they tip over a bit to look bigger, even though they are the biggest fish in the tank.
Pencil is not a tetra. He is a little shy fish. He has a really tiny mouth, but can fit big flake food in it.
Pencil can get nervous when new fish are put in the tank and he takes away his black stripe. He also does that at night because nobody needs to see his pretty colours at night.
Prawn is a girl, and is the biggest shrimp in the tank, even bigger than the fish.
Cocktail is a little shrimp. He likes to hide a lot in the log.
The silvertips are really aggressive and try to chase the other fish when it is food time. They don't chase Prawn and Cocktail.
The embers are our smallest fish. They are very shy, and like to hide by the filter and heater.
The neon tetras are very pretty little fish. They like to shoal with the other fish, even though they are different species.
The cherry shrimp are the smallest shrimp we have. They work very hard to clean the algae.
We have frogs that spend their whole lives in the water. Their normal size is one inch, but that is only their body.

This silvertip pushed the cherry off the heater that it was cleaning, and the cherry immediately tried to attack it from above. The cherries are small, but they are not afraid of a bully.

The frogs have no tongues and can't catch or eat flies. They eat tiny shrimps with their hands but our shrimps are too big for them to eat them. They fight back, and slap the frog if it tries.
The frogs breathe air like us, but they can also breathe through their skin if there is lots of air in the water.
